Every evening we fed the raccoons and opossums leftovers including any uneaten raw cat food. A stray female cat showed up on the back deck in late July.to share with the critters. Being very creative, we named her Miss Kitty.

She was cute, very friendly, got along with Veni, and was being fed enough that she was leaving the birds alone. And, she was keeping the squirrels away from the bird feeders. We let her stay Our first mistake. Read the next one. . .

We are Gar and Ande deGeer. Our intention is to create a blog that is informative and fun. We will both be writing. Our plan is to post articles which read independently or as a story and add value for anyone who is interested in the subject.

We’ll write about our family, our pets, the wild birds and critters around the deck, container gardens, our various businesses, and anything else that comes to mind. We’re committed to this and will do our best to update the blogs frequently..
